We are Contact Lens Specialists

Contact lenses have changed a lot over the past few years. Recent advances in technology and materials mean that contacts can be worn with much more comfort, for longer periods of time and are available for a wider range of prescriptions.  If you have been told that you can’t wear contact lenses in the past, or have found them uncomfortable, now might be a good time to try them again.

Natural Comfort

Improvements in contact lens material design offer many benefits. For one, the lenses are far softer and much more pliable—you can barely feel the lenses in your eyes because they float more naturally in your tears. Modern contacts allow for a greater flow of oxygen which is healthier for your eyes, so you can wear them for a longer period of time with less risk of dryness and irritation.

Clear Vision

Newer contact lenses are available in a wider range of prescriptions than ever before. We offer a large selection of contacts lenses with both daily and monthly disposable options. Multifocal lenses help if you normally wear reading or progressive glasses, toric lenses correct for astigmatism, and those with high prescriptions have more options than ever before.

‘Test drive’ your lenses before buying – it makes sense

Don’t settle for second best. We want you to feel comfortable–so we ask that you try your new lenses for a while before making a purchase.

Flexible ways to purchase

We sell most contacts in one month, three month, six month and annual supplies. We also offer free shipping for in-office pick-up for smaller supplies, and to your house with a year supply in just a few days. Interest-free payment plans are available; ask us about Care Credit.

Contact lenses not only offer a great way to change up your look and have some practical advantages over regular glasses:

  • Contacts are great in the winter because they don’t fog up or get wet.
  • More natural vision – glasses leave peripheral vision less clear, often noticeable while driving.
  • The entire field of view is in focus, especially important in driving and sports.
  • No frame obstructions.
  • No weight or sensation of glasses pressing on your nose.
  • Contacts work with everything you wear.
  • Your eyes are beautiful – why not show them off!
  • We offer overnight vision correction, where no contact lenses or glasses are needed all day long. Ask us about Ortho-K today!

Lens Types

Daily Disposable

Dailies offer the most convenient way to wear contact lenses. No cleaning, no solutions, reduces itching during allergy season. They are available with or without astigmatism correction.
Go to brands: Ciba Dailies Aqua Comfort Plus and Proclear One-Days.

Monthly Disposable

Monthly disposable lenses are a great option for eyes that need more oxygen and for people that have a tough time remembering when you started that last pair of contacts. We fit great contacts that are moist and comfortable for really long days and nights. There are some great bands like Aquaclear and Air Optix Aqua.

Toric for Astigmatism

Have you been told that you can’t wear contact lenses in the past because you have an astigmatism? Toric lens technology has come a long way in the past few years, with new designs to help people who have astigmatism see more clearly than regular contact lenses. They are available in all kinds of materials and replacement schedules including dailies, 2-week, and monthly.

Multifocal

Multifocal contact lenses are designed to help those patients who are having a trouble reading and on the computer with regular contact lenses. Once we hit our forties, unfortunately, our reading muscles start to slow down and we turn to alternatives to help see better at all distances. Many advances have been made in recent years, and there are new, comfortable multifocal contact lenses that provide great functional vision, though there are some compromises. Our goal is to decrease the amount of time you are pulling out those reading glasses and to help you to drive safely and comfortably. Great options are Air Optix Aqua Multifocal and Proclear Multifocal.

Wave Lenses – Wake up to Better Vision

Wave Technology (orthokeratology) is a safe, effective way to see better without wearing glasses or contact lenses during the day. A gas permeable contact lens is designed specifically from a map taken of your eye surface. The lenses are placed on your eyes at bedtime, removed when you wake and provide clear, comfortable vision all day long. Think of it as a similar concept as a dental retainer made for the eye, re-shaping the cornea to allow optimal vision while you sleep.

They are a great solution for contact lens patients who suffer from dry eye, especially at the end of the day. Not only are Wave Lenses safe for children, research shows that they can help slow down the progression of nearsightedness.

Wave Lenses are great for people with an active lifestyle; no more lost contact lenses or broken glasses, they are also non-surgical and treatment is reversible.

Our doctors will discuss your options and determine the best choice for you. Contact lenses are a medical device so an annual evaluation is required, not only to make sure that your vision has not changed but to ensure proper fit and optimal eye health is being maintained. We recommend taking your contact lenses out when you get home from your day and taking a day off from them each week. Having a great pair of glasses that you love and see comfortably with is essential to responsible contact lens wear.
